About

Hi there, I’m Desirae—wife, mom of three incredible kids, homemaker, student, and office manager. Like many of you, I juggle a lot. But my journey to wellness wasn’t just about managing a busy schedule; it was about finding balance within myself.

After the birth of my second son, I found myself struggling. I was overwhelmed, exhausted, and disconnected. My mind felt foggy, I couldn’t sleep, my body felt off, and deep down, I knew I wasn’t showing up as the mom, wife, or woman I wanted to be. I kept pushing through, but I was running on empty—unable to give my best to my family or myself.

That’s when God led me to holistic wellness—an approach that nurtures not just the body, but the mind and soul as well. Slowly, I began to understand that true wellness is about balance: fueling your body with what it needs, calming your mind, and staying rooted in faith. It wasn’t an overnight transformation, but step by step, I reclaimed my health, energy, and joy.

I’m not perfect, and I’m still learning, but I remember where I’ve been, and I know where I want to go. That’s why I decided to pursue nutrition—not just for my own growth, but to help others who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of where to start. Small habits turned into bigger habits, and those habits have become a lifestyle for me and my family. It’s not about rigid rules or perfection; it’s about simple, sustainable changes that lead to strength, confidence, and true well-being.

That’s what Mountain Root Wellness is all about.
